Youngjun Lee, CEO of Lotte Chemical's advanced materials business, participated in the 'ZERO Disposable Products Challenge'.
The Zero Disposable Products Challenge has been ongoing since the Ministry of Environment in February last year with the goal of forming a consensus and encouraging voluntary participation among members of society in order to reduce the number of disposable products used in daily life and increase the use of reusable products. This is a method in which the nominated organization or person posts a post promising to reduce disposable products and nominates the next runner.
CEO Youngjun Lee said, “I am happy to participate in this meaningful challenge. Lotte Chemical plans to provide solutions with various functions while working to build a virtuous resource cycle ecosystem by adding high functionality to raw materials obtained through recycling.”
In September last year, Lotte Chemical launched the eco-friendly material brand 『ECOSEED』 by integrating physically and chemically recycled recycled materials (PCR, Post Consumer Recycled) and bioplastic materials (Bio-PET, biodegradable plastic). .
ECOSEED has a high-quality product line (r-PET, r-PC, r-ABS, r-PE, r-PP) that can recycle most plastics commonly used in daily life, and is the first pyrolysis naphtha product in Korea. We have secured eco-friendly recycling technologies, such as production and conversion to the largest chemical recycling PET plant in Korea, and proprietary solvent purification technology. In addition, we are able to provide customized solutions such as developing design solutions for recycled materials and producing high-performance compounding products, and closely respond to the needs of global customers through operating global production bases in Europe, the Americas, and Asia and through partnerships with raw material sourcing partners. It has the advantage of being possible.
