INDIANAPOLIS, March 13, 2023 - Aurorium, formerly known as Vertellus, has announced its acquisition of CENTAURI Technologies, a move that amplifies its specialty material product offerings and advanced manufacturing capabilities. This strategic acquisition allows Aurorium to expand its footprint in high-growth markets.
Simultaneously, the company has rebranded from Vertellus to Aurorium, reflecting its evolution into a global materials innovation partner with a diversified portfolio of specialty ingredients and performance-enhancing materials.
CENTAURI, a tech-driven manufacturer of specialty materials, is the sixth company that Aurorium has acquired since 2019. The other acquisitions include Bercen Chemicals, Chemtrade Life Sciences, IM Chemical, Jarchem Innovative Ingredients, and Polyscope Polymers.
Leadership at both Aurorium and CENTAURI see the acquisition as a growth opportunity, with CENTAURI's technical expertise and customer-focused approach strengthening Aurorium's position as a provider of specialty ingredients and performance-enhancing materials. The acquisition is also expected to enable Aurorium to leverage global resources to enhance product offerings, expand into new markets, and grow manufacturing capacity.
Aurorium, based in Indianapolis, serves a global customer base with over 1,400 employees across North America, Europe, and Asia. The company's newly refreshed brand identity emphasizes five core principles: differentiation, expertise, innovation, global presence, and exceptional customer experience.
Aurorium is owned by Pritzker Private Capital and management. William Blair & Company advised CENTAURI on the transaction.
